About us

At Guisborough Pine Builders we have made customer satisfaction our guiding principle, and try to achieve this through a combination of working to a high standard of craftmenship, good prices for quality work, and making sure the customer is happy with the end result.

Although we are based in the centre of Guisborough, we work all over the surrounding area, including Marton, Nunthorpe, Stokesley, Great Ayton, Redcar, Marske, Saltburn, Skelton and around Commondale.

Andy Goodwin


Born and raised in Guisborough, Andy learnt all his building knowledge from working for his step father John Thrower over the years. Initially working for Guisborough Pine Builders in school holidays, the job grew from there to taking over the company and running it with his mam, Alma Thrower.

Alma Thrower


Married to John in 1990, Alma has been the key backbone of the company for the past 25 years. Alma looks after the financial side of Guisborough Pine Builders, and is also resonsible for all the administrative  aspects of the company, making sure that the company keeps running smoothly.

Tim Bailey

Head joiner

Tim has been working in the building trade for the past 45 years, and knows all aspects of the building trade inside out. Tim has worked at Guisborough Pine Builders for over 16 years now, and is an indespensible member of the team.
